Debt Consolidation Loans - A Tale.
"Oh, mama!" The young man cried out. "We are being crushed by our debt! The man, he came to take our televisions, even papa's flat-screen! Why, oh why, didn't you listen to my uncle's advice and look into debt consolidation loans?"
The mother sighed and wiped her hands off on the dishtowel. Didn't Pepe know that they'd looked at credit card debt consolidation before and hadn't found what they were looking for? Didn't he know that her husband had died in a field and his last words to her were Madre de dios, don't get a debt consolidation loans program set up? Pepe, whose papa wasn't her now-defunct husband, with his words of seeming wisdom, never could relate to the real world. He was too much of a dreamer, too much of the clouds in him.
She came into their living room, now bare and without any furniture except for a series of pillows arranged upon the floor. "Pepe, you know what your papa said to you about debt consolidation."
"Papa drank too much, Mama! If he hadn't spent all that money on the bottle and the dog-track, we would have a life worth living now! The mother sat on the floor across from Pepe and looked into his eyes. The clouds, they seemed to have parted and a laser-like truth had appeared about debt consolidation loans.

So, late into the night the mother and son talked about which debt consolidation program would suit them best. They used a process of elimination. Considering these requirements, they determined to try for the debt consolidation loan - using their greatest asset as collateral - a baboon named Guiseppie (Gus). Priceless. And they all lived happily ever after - with the exception of Gus who knew it'd be all over for him if they defaulted on the loan.
