They will then move to consolidate all of that debt so that it is more manageable. After the debt has been consolidated you will only have to pay one monthly payment that will go towards all of your outstanding debt - and each month you will be another step closer to a debt free America.
The counselor will also help you to organize your budget and ascertain what the right amount is for you to pay each month. You will not be expected to pay more than you can afford on a monthly basis.
